This housing development on the edge of the village of Ullesthorpe, Leicestershire by Symonds Newey provided 9 new build dwellings. Ullesthorpe is like many villages in this area that have grown organically over many decades and these new dwellings we designed to reflect the mix of materials and dwelling types in the area but with a modern twist of clear leans and crisp finishes.
This development of 4 new build houses and the refurbishment and extension of the existing house was undertaken by local builders Tony Morris and sons.

As part of a wider housing development at a former hospital Hayward Architects were asked to provide designs for the conversion of a former water tower and church into residential properties. The water tower provided a particular challenge but the team at Hayward Architects were able to create a truly unique house in this historic building.
This new build house in Burbage was created on an area of redundant garden land to the side of an existing dwelling. The site had a road frontage which meant that the overgrown area was an eye sore in the street scene. By clearing the site and opening up the plot the line of houses was continued. The new luxury 4 bedroom house complimented the existing mix of houses in the street.
