Hayward Architects were asked to develop schemes for a derelict Ski Chalet in the heart of Switzerland.
The Property was to be brought back in to use as a high end multi room Chalet for the Skiers visiting the nearby slopes.
Having extended and remodelled many houses along this road in Market Bosworth including a complete remodel of this one around 20 years ago we were asked to take a look at a complete remodel of this house to create a modern family living space with access through to the rear and a new outbuilding.
The outbuilding was achieved by maximising the properties Permitted Development Rights before gaining planning permission for both front and rear extensions as well a complete remodel of the internal layout. The property now benefits from a large open plan living/dining/kitchen space to the rear with a separate family study space as well as separate living space.
At first floor a balcony that we had designed 20+years ago was removed to create a large master suite.
The extensions were finished in a modern vertical timber cladding to reflect the semi-rural nature of the site and connect the extensions to the new outbuilding whilst not being a copy of the style.
This dated Bungalow was completely remodelled with a new frontage and rear added to create a modern style family home flooded with light throughout and with a feature entrance door to increase the properties kerb appeal.
Hayward Architects were asked to assist with the extension, refurbishment and modernisation of Fields Farm. The Farmhouse had been in the same family for a number of years and was being passed to the next generation to protect its future. This required it to be suitable for modern family living. Two extensions were added, 1 to the rear and a smaller side extension. Both extensions were in an Orangery style that reflected the period of the original house and modern technologies were combined with traditional materials to create a usable family home.
A truly unique partial barn conversion and replacement of a stable block, containers and a caravan!
We worked closely with Marrons Planning to deliver an approval for this dwelling in open countryside. This bespoke home will be on site in 2025.
